Yacht school “Aquatoria” offers you yacht training for competency of skipper from international IYT school, that is recognized worldwide. We propose own Russian-speaking instructors and large yachts. Practical part of training is provided on comfortable yachts Sun Odyssey 54 DS in Croatia in group till 6 persons. Upgrade training is provided on yachts Bavaria 42 Match.
To receive basic skipper license you need to train for “bareboat skipper & VHF operator”. Further training lets you upgrade you qualification till Coastal, Offshore and Ocean.
Certificates for handling sail and power vessel:
International Crew
It is the level that does not require primary skills and knowledge. After training the listener possesses knowledge about sea life routine and yacht peculiarities, skills sufficient for participation in docking operations and sails handling, bending of knots.
Flotilla Skipper/Watchkeeper
Starting from the level “Flotilla Skipper/Watchkeeper” and further the training consists form practical and theoretical parts. The listener is to pass practice part for the period not less than 12 months after theoretical course completion. At the end of the training the certificate is held.
Certificate options:
candidate is allowed watchkeeping on yachts till 78 ft (24 m),
handle a 50 ft (15 m) yacht individually on the flotilla (or to standby a captain during resting time)
in coastal zone 20 miles offshore
in daytime
if favourable weather conditions

The certificate is to be renewed every 5 years.

The training is held within courses “Flotilla Skipper/Watchkeeper” and “International Bareboat Skipper”. Obligatory for handling of a sail and power vessel.
STCW Basic Safety training courses
(primary course about safety)
STCW Basic Safety training courses is a 5day course of primary preparation considering safety, that includes firefighting, survival at sea, first medical aid, personal and public safety.
The course is obligatory for license Yachtmaster Offshore.
Power endorsement certificates:
Small power boat and RIB master
The candidate is to satisfy healthy requirements. The qualification “Small power boat and RIB master” allows handling of a personal small power vessel 15 m in length or rubber boat 15 m in length (without cabins) with stationary or board engine without power limitations in coastal waters of foreign countries or to rent these vessels. Sailing is allowed in daytime only, the distance till 20 miles from safety haven. After completion of the training the certificate is held. The certificate is to be reapproved every 5 years.
Personal Watercraft Operator (PWC)
Allows handling PWC with passengers aboard, the distance of sailing – till 20 miles from safety haven in favourable weather conditions (wind force – till 6 points on Beaufort scale, wave height – till 3 points). After completion of the course the certificate is held. The certificate is to be reapprover every 5 years.
