Description

Skipper license Yachtmaster Coastal is upgrading of a skipper qualification. It enables handling a sailing-power yacht till 78 foot/24 meters length in coastal zone till 60 n.miles at any time of day or night. This one-week course includes theoretical lessons with instructor on Russian and practical lessons at sea.

Requirements for holding the license:

valid license IYT bareboat skipper & VHF operator
30 days and 800 n. miles at sea
12 hours of night passages (may be covered for a period of practice)

After completion of the course for a skipper license level Yachtmaster Coastal you pass the theory and practice examination. Candidates for holding a license should demonstrate satisfying handling ability, berthing and coming at anchor, all appropriate for a level, also they may be asked any question included in theoretical course.

Yacht

Sun Odyssey 54 DS (54 foot / 16.75 m² ) – 4+1 cabins (4 cabins with double bed, 1 cabin for a captain), shower/heads in every cabin. Built in 2006, renovated in 2014.

It is a large and comfortable yacht of a French dock yard that combines classic beauty and interior ergonomics with wonderful cruise yacht performance.

The yacht is equipped with air conditioner, generator (steady electricity on board), TV in mess room, dinghy with outboard engine, full-fledged galley (cooking stove, oven, fridge, sink, dishes), sun deck-chairs and equipment for snorkeling and fishing. There is Wi-fi aboard.

Program

Training program contains theoretical modules and practicing these modules at sea.

Practical course contains a week at sea during which you sail 300 nautical miles including night passages.
